Get to grips with EX, with a course that’s right for you

Designing and implementing a compelling EX can feel overwhelming, and ambiguous. The research shows, that although companies are taking EX seriously, many of them aren’t sure where to start. We want to demystify EX, and work with practitioners to help them design great experiences for employees. Whether you are new to EX, looking to understand the fundamentals, or just want to build your confidence in this growing area, we have a range of courses that can help you.

We recently launched our all new EX masterclass, designed to help you get to grips with EX. It’s a practical, half-day, virtual masterclass, designed and delivered by the authors of the new Kogan Page Book ‘EX by Design: How to Create an Effective EX for Competitive Advantage.  The masterclass is a guaranteed way to get you up to speed with everything you need to know about EX.

In the masterclass we’ll cover:

  • What is employee experience?
  • How do I explain it to stakeholders?
  • Why does it matter?
  • What does an EX strategy look like?
  • How to develop a world-beating EX?
  • How do I measure EX?

You can find out more about our EX masterclass here

In the masterclass, we’ll introduce you to some key EX design tools. And if you are interested in developing your EX knowledge and finding out more about EX, then make sure you sign up for our FREE EX Powertools series.

Each week you’ll receive resources to help you design a compelling EX:

  • Week 1 is all about understanding what EX is – and defining it in a way that makes sense to your organisation and your people. This will help you make the case for EX as a focus area, and gain sponsors and allies.
  • Week 2 is about personas. Personas are used continuously and in multiple ways across the EX design process, from starting to define strategic employee experience priorities, to bringing a specific employee experience challenge to life for stakeholders. They are also fundamental to creating new solutions that really meet a human need.
  • Week 3 is about the journey map, a tool to visualise a range of actions across the employee experience. They can be used to map the overarching employee experience – from job search to alumni – or any number of shorter journeys, such as returning to the workplace after parental leave or furlough, or becoming a first-time manager.
  • Week 4 is about moments that matter, a way of categorising critical touchpoints in a journey. Moments that matter are highly emotionally charged moments that have a disproportionate impact on engagement either positively or negatively.
  • Week 5 is about empathy maps, a way to explore and visualise people’s experience of a particular moment or journey – and then redesign it.

Wherever you are in your EX journey, our courses and EX powertools can help you. Sign up here for free!
